Vivo V60 Clears Another Certification as Global Launch Approaches

The Vivo V60 is much closer to launch. With a growing list of certifications under its belt, the mid-range smartphone is all but confirmed for an August debut in India—and likely several other markets. While Vivo is gearing up to unveil the T4R on July 31, and the Y400 5G is also on the radar, it’s the V60 that’s shaping up to be the headliner. The device has now secured TDRA certification in the UAE, joining a long trail of approvals that includes SIRIM (Malaysia), IMDA (Singapore), TKDN (Indonesia), BIS (India), and TUV.

Specs Are Starting to Take Shape

Listed under the model number V2511, the Vivo V60 has already popped up on Geekbench, revealing a few key details: it’s powered by Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, backed by 8GB of RAM, and runs Android 15 right out of the box. The TUV listing also suggests support for 90W fast charging, which would put it near the top in its segment for power delivery.

Vivo V60

In terms of hardware, the V60 is expected to closely mirror the Vivo S30, which launched in China earlier this year. That means we’re likely looking at a 6.67-inch OLED display, pushing a 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, with an in-display fingerprint scanner baked in.

A Premium Camera Setup in a Midrange Body

The camera system could be the V60’s standout feature. If leaks hold true, the phone will sport a triple rear setup: a 50MP main shooter with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide, and a 50MP periscope lens with 3x optical zoom. On the front? A 50MP selfie cam that’s ready for high-res video and sharp stills.

Storage and RAM will reportedly include LPDDR4x memory and UFS 2.2 storage, while a 6,500mAh battery keeps everything running—likely with battery optimization from Vivo’s updated FunTouch OS.

There’s even some buzz that the phone might offer OriginOS as an option, which so far has been exclusive to Vivo’s Chinese lineup. Whether or not that UI crossover makes it to India or global models is still unknown.

Global Expansion Seems Likely

With certifications covering markets across Asia and the Middle East, it’s clear Vivo is planning a multi-country rollout, not just an India-first release. That makes sense—Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, a periscope camera, and IP69 protection aren’t specs you limit to one region.

The Vivo V60 is reportedly available in three colors: Mist Grey, Moonlit Blue, and Auspicious Gold—each continuing Vivo’s tradition of minimal but stylish finishes.

Pricing hasn’t leaked yet, but with these specs, the V60 could easily slot into the upper-midrange category, challenging devices like the OnePlus Nord 4, Redmi Note 14 Pro+, and Samsung Galaxy A75.
