As promised, vivo today introduced the vivo T4R as the fifth member of the T4 series. It’s 7.3mm thick, weighs 183.5 g, and is built around a 6.77″ quad-curved FullHD+ AMOLED display. The screen has a 120Hz refresh rate, 1,800 nits peak brightness, and is protected by Diamond Shield Glass, which is made in collaboration with German glass-maker Schott.
Under the hood is the Dimensity 7400 SoC with up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The vivo T4R boots Android 15-based Funtouch OS 15 and comes with the promise of two years of OS upgrades and three years of security updates.
The vivo T4R’s photography department includes three cameras – a 32MP selfie camera on the front and a 50MP primary camera (Sony IMX882, OIS) on the rear, which is accompanied by a 2MP bokeh unit. The selfie camera, like the primary camera, can record 4K videos. Moreover, the smartphone supports underwater photography and multi-focal portraits.
Keeping the entire package up and running is a 5,700 mAh battery that draws power through a USB-C at up to 44W. The smartphone also supports bypass charging.
The rest of the vivo T4R’s highlights include IP68 and IP69 ratings, MIL-STD-810H certification, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and dual stereo speakers.
The vivo T4R has three memory options – 8GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB, and 12GB/256GB, priced at INR19,499 ($220/€195), INR21,499 ($245/€215), and INR23,499 ($270/€235), respectively. The smartphone will be available in Arctic White and Twilight Blue colors in India starting August 5 through vivo’s Indian website, Flipkart, and partner retail stores.
If all this sounds familiar to you, it’s because the vivo T4R is a version of the iQOO Z10R that recently went on sale in India with the same memory configurations and pricing. However, the Z10R is sold in India through different sales channels – iQOO’s Indian website and Amazon.in.
