The POCO F7 will launch in a couple of weeks for now, and it’s natural to see leaks intensifying in the coming days. Fortunately, the day is today, as we just got a massive leak that shows the phone in all its glory plus the complete specs sheet. As expected, the POCO F7 will sit in the so-called flagship killer segment with compelling specifications.
POCO F7 Specifications and Design Appear
Curiously, the vanilla POCO F7 is the physically larger model in the series. It surpasses the Pro and Ultra with its 163.1 x 77.9 x 8.2 mm versus the 160.3 x 75 mm x 8.1 mm for the Pro and 8.4mm in the Ultra. It also weighs a little more at 215.7 grams, while the Pro and Ultra have 206g and 212g, respectively.
One of the reasons is that the POCO F7 has a larger display with a 6.83-inch diagonal. It’s an OLED display with 2,772 x 1,280 pixels resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The phone has a 12-bit color rendering, Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support. It also supports a peak brightness of 3,200 nits and 3,840Hz PWM dimming.
The POCO F7 has a larger battery with 7,550 mAh capacity and 90W fast-charging. Judging by the size, we can easily tell this is a silicon-carbon battery and will give a long endurance for users. The phone also supports fast reverse charging at 22.5W. So you can easily use it as a luxury power bank for other devices like earbuds or a smartwatch. The F7’s battery is more impressive than the Pro and the Ultra, which have 6,000mAh and 5,300mAh. Intriguingly, this is the vanilla version, right? Unfortunately, some regions may get the variant with a 6,500 mAh battery, which is still large enough.
The POCO F7 will come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset. It’s a sequel for last year’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 with some tweaks and improvements. The device will have 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512 GB UFS 4.1 storage. The phone will run HyperOS 2/Android 15 straight out of the box and will come with AI features.
In terms of optics, the phone has a 50 MP Sony IMX882 sensor with OIS. There is also an 8 MP ultrawide snapper and a 20 MP selfie camera. Photography certainly isn’t the strong point of the F7. However, some users won’t care much if they’re looking for display, performance, and battery.
The device has stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos plus Hi-Res Audio and Hi-Res Audio Wireless certifications. Other connectivity options include 5G, 4G, on Band 20 (800 MHz), Wi-Fi 7, NFC, and an IR Blaster. The phone boasts an IP68 rating. The phone will also come in an interesting transparent design option that reinforces its focus on raw performance.
POCO is yet to disclose the exact launch date for the new smartphone. But considering the number of leaks and the rumors, we believe it could appear at the end of June or early in July.
