The Nord series has been a strong performer for OnePlus, and it’s now entering its fifth generation. The new OnePlus Nord 5 and Nord CE5 bring meaningful upgrades. While the Nord 5 focuses on power and performance, the CE5 makes headlines with the largest battery ever in a OnePlus phone.

The Nord 5 is equipped with a 6.83-inch AMOLED display. It offers Full HD+ resolution and an ultra-smooth 144Hz refresh rate. The screen can hit up to 1,800 nits of peak brightness and is protected by Gorilla Glass 7i. It also houses an optical fingerprint scanner and a 50MP selfie camera.
Under the hood, the Nord 5 runs on Qualcomm’s powerful Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. It comes with either 8GB or 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and storage options include 256GB or 512GB of fast UFS 3.1 memory.
On the back, you get a dual-camera setup. The main sensor is a 50MP LYT-700 with optical image stabilization (OIS), supported by an 8MP ultra-wide lens. OnePlus also includes its RAW HDR and Real Tone tech from the OnePlus 13 series, promising richer photos and more accurate skin tones.
Powering all this is a 6,800mAh battery. It supports 80W fast wired charging and 5W reverse charging. The phone runs OxygenOS 15, based on Android 15, and includes AI features like AI Eraser, AI Summary, and AI Reply, powered by Google Gemini.
The Nord 5 is available in Marble Sands, Dry Ice, and Phantom Grey. Prices start at €449/£399/INR 31,999.
OnePlus Nord CE5: Big Battery Champion
The Nord CE5 comes with a slightly smaller 6.77-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It has 1,430 nits of peak brightness and a 16MP selfie camera. It’s powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 chip, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and expandable storage.
The highlight is its massive 7,100mAh battery, making it the largest ever in a OnePlus phone. It promises 27+ hours of YouTube, 18+ hours on Instagram, and 9+ hours of gaming. It also supports 80W SuperVOOC charging and bypass charging for gaming while plugged in.
Also, camera-wise, it features a 50MP main sensor with OIS and an 8MP ultra-wide lens.
The Nord CE5 comes in Black Infinity, Marble Mist, and Nexus Blue. Prices start at €299/£249/INR 24,999. Both phones are available starting today.
