No Substantial Upgrade to the Main Camera
Samsung is expected to release the Galaxy S26 series during its Galaxy Unpacked event in early next year, likely in January or February. The typical annual launch typically introduces the company’s top smartphones. Based on new leaks, the S26 Ultra camera module may not receive notable upgrades from its predecessors.
The main camera is reported to be the same as in previous devices. This means that the S26 Ultra will have the same 200-megapixel sensor that debuted in previous devices. While this is still a good lens, this is an indication that Samsung is focusing more on refinement than innovation in this area.
Telephoto Camera Unchanged
According to credible sources like GalaxyClub, the S26 Ultra will feature a 50-megapixel telephoto lens with a 5x optical zoom. It is the same lens used in the Galaxy S24 Ultra and S25 Ultra.
