Google only just wrapped up its annual I/O developer conference, but the company might already be preparing for another big moment—this time, focused on hardware. While Pixel phones usually show up between August and October, there are signs that the Pixel 10 could arrive much earlier this year.
Google Sent Special Invites
Some members of Google’s Pixel Superfan community recently received a special invite. It’s for an exclusive in-person event called the Pixel Penthouse, and it’s set to take place on June 27. While the invite doesn’t confirm any specific product names, it does mention “upcoming devices,” hinting at something major. Considering the timing and Google’s hardware schedule, all signs point toward an early Pixel 10 reveal.
This wouldn’t be the first time Google breaks from tradition. Earlier this year, the company revealed Android 16 features ahead of I/O and launched the Pixel 8a way earlier than last year’s 7a. The pattern suggests Google is in the mood to shake things up.
History Could Repeat Itself
There’s also a bit of history repeating itself. Back in 2021, Google held a special tech talk with Pixel Superfans—on the same day it revealed the Pixel 6. So the idea that the Pixel 10 could appear during or shortly after this private June event isn’t far-fetched. Plus, a recent Pixel 10 leak from a marketing shoot suggests the device is already in the final stages of preparation.
Another clue is Android 16’s development timeline. Google hinted that the new version of Android could be ready by June, which would line up perfectly with a Pixel 10 launch running the stable build. And with the Pixel 10 rumored to use TSMC-made chips instead of Samsung’s, it marks a big shift in hardware strategy as well.
For now, only 25 lucky fans will get into the Pixel Penthouse event, and applications close on June 4. Google will announce winners a week later on June 11
