WhatsApp is testing an exciting new feature in its Android beta version that gives users more control over who can share their status updates. How the Status Resharing Feature Works
Previously, WhatsApp status updates couldn’t be shared by others unless the original poster was specifically mentioned. The new update changes this by adding a toggle that lets you enable or disable resharing for each status you post. When creating a new status, an option is found that allows forwarding. By default, this setting remains turned off, meaning your status stays private unless you choose to make it shareable.

At the moment, the American company has made it known that this new feature will be available to only a handful of beta testers operating WhatsApp on the Android OS. This new option might already be available to Users enrolled in the beta program through the Google Play Store. As more progressive development is carried out in the new feature, WhatsApp is expected to make the feature available to users globally.
